What a busy season it's been! Here are some photos from Santa Brunch at the Club. Stu's brother's family and Stu's mom were able to attend with us, so we had quite the family outing!

I call it, "Blue Steel"
Well, I'm still working on an Easter post, but I just had to share a teaser from Charley's 6 month photo shoot this past Monday! This was our second visit to the very talented Marjorie Stallard, http://marjoriestallard.com/ and she did not disappoint. Marjorie's photos are always fabulous but I think this one takes the cake! Since Marjorie's studio is in the Bluefield Arts and Crafts Center, Charley and I headed home on Sunday to spend the night with mom and dad before his shoot Monday morning. It was so nice to take a break and know that I didn't have to work on Monday and could spend some extra time with the boy! After our photo shoot with Marjorie I dropped Charley off with his Ma and Auntie Sarah and attended to some errands of my own. We finally made it back to Roanoke that evening and our boy was a perfect traveling companion. I am dreading our trip, well the drive, to FL in July less and less!
Well, enough of that. Here is what you really wanted to see, can you believe he is 6 months old already??

Trip to DC
About 2 weeks ago Charley and I took a little road trip. I had a conference in Fairfax and our lovely friend, Megan offered to host us and watch Charley while I attended. So we hit the road! The trip up on Thursday was a little rough; I had to stop 4 times, twice to feed Charley and twice to calm him down. The last time we stopped in Woodstock and I had to get in the back and rock him to sleep. I was terrified to put him back in his seat, so when he didn't wake up I hopped up front and hauled it to Megan's.
Friday was spent at the Fairfax County Government Center and then we headed to Old Town Alexandria for dinner. Saturday I got out of my conference a little bit early and Megan and I headed into the city for some sightseeing! Here are some photos of our adventure,

They're not Cherry Blossoms, but close enough

After a long day of sightseeing Charley slept like a baby at dinner!

6 Months
Yesterday Stu and I took Charley for his 6 month check up. Our little guy sure has grown since our last visit 2 months ago. This month he weighed in at 15lb. 9oz. and 27 inches long! The doctor said now is the time to start increasing his solids, introducing the cup and looking for him to sit up on his own any day. Its seems like we just brought him home, but Mr. Charley is growing into quite the little boy.
Here is a picture from the Dr.'s office of Charley and Stu.

Check back soon to hear all about our first road trip to DC!
